EEER - group objectives are to provide a forum for the exchange of information between researchers, developers and practitioners acting on the topic of building energy and environment and related issues. EEER aims but not limited to the following:

• Increase the awareness of the benefits of applying the green & passive architecture design and planing strategies on both building's indoor and outdoor scales, i.e. for a single building design and for urban developments.

• Advance and promote the science of building energy and environmental efficiency and building performance simulation in order to improve the design, construction, operation, maintenance and deconstruction of new / existing buildings.

• Identify problems within the built environment that may be solved by improved simulation tools and techniques.

• Identify the performance characteristics of buildings on which simulation should be focused.

• Identify building performance simulation research and development needs and transfer new developments to the user.

• It also aims for improving the research interests of the whole community's architects, urban planners and urban designers in applying the passive design and urban planning methodology and strategies to reduce building and urban fabric energy consumption, reaching acceptable human comfort levels, reducing GHG emissions and to increase the quality of the design process and its product.

 

The vision of EEER Research Network is to develop and implement a strategy to effectively transfer the knowledge and technologies developed to architects, engineers, builders, manufactures and utilities in Egypt. The Network will lead to the development of a knowledge base that support optimized built environment design community. So we are looking forward to your contributions and efforts.
